Preparations for the second China-CEEC Expo & International Consumer Goods Fair, which is slated to be held in Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province from June 8 to 11, are in full swing.
The event will coincide with the 23rd China Zhejiang Investment and Trade Fair, which will also be held in Ningbo, according to Zhang Yan, director of the Ningbo municipal bureau of commerce and deputy head of the China-CEEC Expo organizing committee.
A wider range of goods from the CEEC as well as some countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative will be displayed. In addition to traditional consumer goods, the exhibits will also include those from sectors like machinery and electronics, life health and service trade.
Some cutting-edge technological products from the CEEC, ranging from aircrafts from Slovenia to lasers from Lithuania, will be on exhibition.
The organizers will strengthen COVID-19 prevention and control efforts given that some places in China recently reported locally transmitted COVID-19 cases.
Participants from low-risk areas in the country must submit their health monitoring records two weeks before registration. Expo staff are also required to be inoculated before May 30.
No overseas guests, except diplomats, exhibitors and purchasers from the CEEC who are already in China, will be invited to participate in the expo's offline activities in an effort to prevent the possible resurgence of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Overseas enterprises and guests can attend the expo via online platforms.
