Xuzhou Juzhan Construction Co Ltd, which is based in Xuzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, recently obtained approval to pay taxes in Ningbo's Beilun district.

The approval's issuance marked the start of inter-provincial tax payment services in Ningbo.

Currently, 14 commercial banks from the city have launched inter-provincial online tax payment services, offering great convenience for non-local enterprises.

A person in charge of the financing department at Xuzhou Juzhan Construction Co Ltd said that the service allowed tax payments to be done online at a different place, saving the company a lot of time.

Ningbo has been listed as one of the 12 pilot cities in the nation to promote inter-provincial tax payment services.

Ningbo and eight other cities, including Changsha, Hefei, Nanchang, Zhengzhou, Wuhan, Guiyang, Zhuzhou, as well as Xiangtan, in the Yangtze River Economic Belt reached an agreement on March 25 to facilitate the inter-provincial handling of high-demand government affairs services.

A total of 100 items in inter-provincial government services related to business development and people's lives were made available in Ningbo.

The service items involve fields spanning justice, public security, social security, medical insurance, market regulation, real estate, provident funds, health care, civil affairs, and transportation.

The city aims to promote the inter-provincial handling of frequently processed administrative services, totaling 140 items, by the end of this year.
