A book night market was held at Tianyi Pavilion & Moon Lake Scenic Spot on Oct 10, part of the seventh Zhejiang Book Fair which began on Oct 9 in Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province.

Visitors are able to enjoy various book-related activities at the market, which was divided into six areas for topics such as ancient literature, audio and video, and reading.

The exhibition at the entrance of the market was one of the highlights of the event, displaying the history of people carrying books in and out of the city in ancient times.

Nine local book stores brought more than 1,000 books to the market, all of which were 20 percent off for residents.

"Gezhu Dada", a cartoon version of Fan Qin, the founder of Tianyi Pavilion, was popular among visitors. Those who could answer three questions related to Tianyi Pavilion and the history of Ningbo were able to win a book.

Visitors also participated in a seal impression collection activity, during which they collected seal impressions of Tianyi Pavilion and different book stores at the stands along their way.

The event was organized by the Publicity Department of the CPC Ningbo Municipal Committee and Ningbo Tianyige Museum.
