The 2021 Ningbo Fashion Festival & 25th Ningbo International Fashion Fair came to an end in Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province on Oct 24.
The four-day event, which featured 20 activities, including exhibitions, forums, contests and fashion shows, attracted more than 25,000 merchants and 28 trading groups from over 20 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions across the nation.
The Liangshan Yi autonomous prefecture in Southwest China's Sichuan province participated in the event for the first time, with seven companies showcasing Yi costumes, embroidery and silver ornaments
In April, Ningbo was paired with Liangshan under the east-west poverty relief program by the central government. The program sees more prosperous provinces and municipalities in East China lend support to underdeveloped regions in the country.
An industry think tank developed by the Ningbo branch of China Unicom for Ningbo's garment industry also made its debut during the festival. This new platform plans to integrate more than 50 application scenarios and over 120 industry apps, with services reaching more than 2,000 enterprises.
In addition, online exhibitions and commercial livestreams that were held simultaneously amassed more than four million views. Short videos related to the fashion festival on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok, attracted about 34.2 million views during the period.
