Zhejiang celebrates progress on YRD integration

The Yangtze River Delta (Huzhou) Industrial Cooperation Zone and the Zhejiang Yangtze River Airplane Aviation Intelligent Technology Center are unveiled during the event on Nov 19.

On Nov 19, the Zhejiang provincial government hosted a themed activity at the Zhejiang Great Hall of People in the provincial capital of Hangzhou to celebrate the third anniversary of the central government's incorporation of Yangtze River Delta integration into national strategies.

During the event, officials spoke about Zhejiang's efforts and progress in pushing forward the integration of the YRD.

The Yangtze River Delta region, which encompasses Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui provinces and Shanghai municipality, accounts for about one-sixth of China's population and one-fourth of the country's GDP. China made the region's integration a national strategy in November 2018.

The Yangtze River Delta (Huzhou) Industrial Cooperation Zone and the Zhejiang Yangtze River Airplane Aviation Intelligent Technology Center were unveiled during the event. Located in the Mogan Mountain High-Tech Industry Development Zone in Huzhou city, the latter is a joint venture between the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Zhejiang University and the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation.
