Zhenhai to build leisure center in northern Ningbo

Zhenhai district in Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province has been building the Jiulong Lake-Shiqifang Scenic Area, which will serve as a leisure center in the north of the city.

The area in suburban Ningbo will cover 1,951 hectares, including Jiulonghu town and Xiepu town, and will integrate its development with surrounding villages, utilizing natural resources such as mountains, water, forests and fields.

It will feature four parts, including landscapes such as mountains and bodies of water, ancient towns, agricultural experience projects and digital villages.

According to the plan, several tourism projects will be developed to promote rural revitalization and common prosperity in the area. 

Villages and old buildings in the area will be renovated and infrastructure, including a food market and school, will also be built for the benefit of locals. 

The area is now under construction and is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
