Qiangjiao town in Ninghai county, Ningbo launched helicopter tours on April 29, offering visitors low-attitude views of Ninghai Bay.

"Amazing," said a visitor surnamed Lin, who was on the first flight, "When I overlooked the bay from the helicopter, it was completely from what I had seen on a boat before.”

This was Lin's first time on a helicopter tour. He found the flight to be both smooth and safe.

"I was relaxed and enjoyed this new way to experience the beauty of the sea and islands," added Lin.

According to Gao Junfang, who is in charge of the project, the helicopter is a Robinson R44, which can carry up to four passengers.

Gao said that due to the great coastal scenery, weather and airspace conditions, Qiangjiao town is an ideal place for helicopter tours. The tours will also integrate the tourism resources of scattered islands at Ninghai Bay. 

An official of the town said that the newly-launched tours will help increase Qiangjiao's tourism competitiveness and attract more visitors.
