To promote common prosperity, Fenghua district in Ningbo, Zhejiang province launched workshops to teach villagers new skills and find jobs this year.

The workshops, entitled "Common Prosperity Workshops", were built by the local authorities. To ensure their smooth operation in the villages, 52 teams consisting of 36 business associations and 215 enterprises were organized.

"Lacking in professional training, villagers have little technical expertise, " said an official of the Organization Department of the CPC Fenghua District Committee, "To tackle the problem, we invite experts and managers from colleges and enterprises to offer training on technology and marketing to villagers."

To date, 95 workshops have been built across the district, helping 2,500 farmers to find jobs.

He Xueqin, a 65-year-old resident of Leishan village, has been working in the workshop that was established in the village in April.

"I made embroidery products to make more money in the farming off-season," said He.

More than 20 villagers are making embroidery works in the workshop, helping them to earn over 80,000 yuan ($11,869) in total.
