Four rescuers from Ningbo, Zhejiang province will leave for Turkiye on Wednesday evening to attend rescue operations.

The four rescuers - Huang Haihui, Shu Chongjie, Zhu Jiancheng and Zhang Saixiao - are members of the Yinzhou Blue Sky Rescue Team. Huang, Shu and Zhu are in the search and rescue group, and Zhang is in the medical rescue group.

"The headquarters of Blue Sky Rescue said on Monday evening that 150 rescuers are needed for the rescue operations in Turkiye," said Chen Qing, head of the Yinzhou Blue Sky Rescue Team, "We selected four members from the volunteers."

Chen said that all four members have three years or more of disaster relief experiences.

"I joined Blue Sky Rescue five years ago. I’ve received first aid and disaster relief training over the past five years. I hope I can make full use of what I learned," said Zhang, who applied to be a volunteer rescuer in Turkiye as soon as she heard about the notice.

The four rescuers arrived at the headquarters of Blue Sky Rescue in Wuhan, Hubei province on Tuesday evening, and joined in an over-100-person team with rescuers from across the country. The team will take a direct flight to Istanbul in Turkiye on Wednesday evening and carry out rescue operations for 15 days.
