Top 10 Chinese cities in SMEs' development environment

Shenzhen, Shanghai, Nanjing are the top three cities in China regarding their SMEs' development environment, according to a report released by China Centre for Promotion of SME Development at a forum of national SME development environment in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, on Feb 21.

Evaluation standards include market environment; legal environment; financing environment; innovation environment; and policy environment for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.

The 2022 evaluation selected 36 cities and conducted questionnaire surveys with more than 34,000 SMEs and face-to-face exchanges with over 200 enterprises.

Ningbo in East China's Zhejiang province ranked 8th on the list of top 10 cities with best SMEs' development environment in China.
