The first healthcare complex in Ningbo, Zhejiang province opened in February, serving seniors and children in neighboring areas.

The complex, entitled "Yi Lao Yi Xiao" (one senior and one child) Future Community, is located in the Xingyang Residential Community in Beilun district. Covering an area of nearly 5,000 square meters, it is a one-stop shop with an elderly care service center, childcare center, cloud treatment room, and cloud pharmacy.

The complex serves people who are over 60 years old or under three years old and who live in one of the four residential communities it serves.

According to Li Li, deputy director of the Beilun District Health Bureau, four childcare classes have been launched in the complex, and each class has a teacher, a childcare worker and a healthcare worker.

"It's a great complex. When my grandson goes to the childcare center, I go to the elderly care center with friends, where we can do exercises and play chess," said a 68-year-old resident surnamed Sun, "It is convenient to see the doctor on the internet in the cloud treatment room. We no longer need to spend a long time lining up in the hospital to get our prescriptions filled. I got my high blood pressure medicine here yesterday."

According to local authorities, to serve more seniors in Beilun, two elderly care centers will be built in the district this year.
