Rural tourism picks up pace in Jiulonghu

Throngs of visitors flocked to Jiulonghu town on March 26 to admire rapeseed blossoms and fly kites amid the sea of flowers.

The rural tourism sector in Jiulonghu town in Ningbo's Zhenhai district has been thriving in recent years as authorities have made concerted efforts to develop pastoral sightseeing centered on its wide stretch of farmlands.

A mix of amenities including coffees shops, convenience shops and agritainment facilities have sprouted up in the area, creating jobs for nearly 1,000 locals.
