The 2023 Zhejiang Culture and Tourism Consumption Spring Season kicked off on Mar 24 in Shaoxing, East China's Zhejiang province to promote the high-quality development of the cultural and tourism industry and aid in economic development.

During the consumption season, more than 600 cultural and tourism promotion activities will be held throughout the province. At the opening ceremony, more than 200 policies benefiting tourists and enterprises were announced.

A Southern-Song-Dynasty-style atmosphere was created at the opening ceremony through dian cha, a tea-making technique from the Song Dynasty (960-1279), arranging flowers, burning incense, literature, painting, and other Song-style arts.

The consumption season will be held from March to June and feature four series of activities.
