1,300-plus Ningbo enterprises to debut at 133rd Canton Fair

More than 1,300 companies from Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province will attend the 133rd China Import and Export Fair, which will be held from April 15 to May 5 in South China's Guangzhou city.

A total of 3,700 booths – which make up more than 44 percent of Zhejiang's total and represent an uptick of over 500 over the 126th edition – will be set up at the fair to showcase a myriad of goods produced by the city, ranging from household appliances to supplies kitchenware to office stationery and garments.

Of the 3,700 booths, 723 will be occupied by home appliance brands from Ningbo, accounting for 16.7 percent of the total of the fair's home appliance section, and 303 will be used to display the city's office stationery.

The event, also known as the Canton Fair, will welcome buyers from over 220 countries and regions as it resumes all offline exhibitions for the first time after a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 epidemic.

The fair will span 1.5 million square meters, 25 percent larger than the previous edition, and cover segments not seen before, such as smart manufacturing, new-energy and intelligent connected vehicles, maternal and infant products, and the "silver-haired" economy, which is catered to elderly consumers.
