Chinese shooter Feng Sixuan snagged the woman's 25m pistol gold at the 2023 International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) Rifle/Pistol World Cup held in Lima, Peru on April 16.

Feng won the title by securing a 28 - 26 victory over her Ukrainian counterpart in the final. She made it to the gold medal event with a score of 590 points, the highest in the qualifiers.

Another shooter from China, Zhao Nan bagged the bronze medal.

This is the first world title victory by Feng, and also the first gold won by Zhejiang in the women's 25m pistol event.

Born in Cixi, a county-level city in Ningbo in 2002, Feng was drafted into the Chinese national pistol shooting team in 2019.

That same year, the 21-year-old took home four gold medals at the China Youth Games held in Shanxi province and grabbed one gold in the junior group at the 2022 ISSF World Championships Rifle/Pistol in Cairo, Egypt.
