Concert highlights talent in Ningbo

The Night of Talent concert was held in Ningbo, Zhejiang province on April 17 in celebration of the annual Ningbo Talent Day.
The concert, launched by local authorities and the Ningbo Symphony Orchestra, was a major event in celebration of the upcoming Talent Day, which falls on April 20 this year.
In 2019, the city designated the first day of Grain Rain, a solar term in the traditional Chinese calendar, as Ningbo Talent Day. Around that day, a series of recruitment activities are held to encourage people from around the world to work and start businesses in the city.
In addition to professional musicians and singers, experts such as academicians, researchers and teachers also went on-stage during the concert.
Zhang Wenwu, a researcher of the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, presented a song entitled "Song River". Zhang composed the song himself when he returned to work in Ningbo and was touched by talent from around the world coming to struggle for a better future in the city.
