Top 100 Ningbo brands unveiled

The 2023 list of the top 100 brands in Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province was recently released, according to local media reports.

Bank of Ningbo topped the list with a brand value of 24.01 billion yuan ($3.46 billion). It was followed by civil electrical brand Bull (23.13 billion yuan) and kitchenware brand Fotile (21.09 billion yuan).

For the first time, the top 100 Ningbo brands saw their aggregated brand value surpass 40 billion yuan. The threshold to enter the list jumped to 500 million yuan this year.

Of the 100 brands, 32 are in Yinzhou district, 23 in Haishu district, 14 in Beilun district, nine in the county-level city of Cixi, six in Jiangbei district, five in Xiangshan county, four in the county-level city of Yuyao, three in Zhenhai district, two in Ninghai county and two in Fenghua district.

Seventy of them are engaged in the secondary industry, while the rest are focused on the tertiary sector. Forty-five have gone public, with a combined brand value of 274.37 billion, which makes up nearly 60 percent of the total.
