After four years of closure, Phoenix Park in Ningbo, Zhejiang province has been renovated and reopened on June 1.
Phoenix Park in the city's Beilun district opened in 2006 and was regarded as a Disneyland for children in Ningbo. Due to its aging facilities, it was closed in 2019. After four years, renovations of the first phase are finally completed.
On June 1, the first phase of the park opened for trail operations. It is an amusement park for residents of all ages, covering an area of 72,000 square meters and including a ring course, a marine theme gaming zone, a stage, a gateball ground, a waterpark, a sandpit, and an indoor park.
On the park's opening day, various activities such as charity sales, performances, and a garden party were held there in celebration of Children's Day.
The second phase of the park is being renovated and will open to the public next spring. Construction on the 470,000-square-meter Phoenix Mountain Park will start at the end of this year and it is expected to open in 2026.
