Villager-based art show held in Ningbo

In celebration of the upcoming 19th Asian Games, Ningbo, Zhejiang province hosted a show performed by villagers in Shagang village on June 30.

The show consisted of 15 performances, including dances, songs, operas, comedy sketches, Kungfu, and ensemble performances. Performers were mainly villagers taking part in an art project that local authorities launched last December.

Since Dec 8, 2022, a teaching team consisting of intangible cultural heritage artisans, Kungfu masters, and artists has organized more than 80 art classes at 30 cultural auditoriums in villages across the city and helped locals establish 10 art groups.
