The 2023 China - Thailand Trade Expo, the first exhibition organized by Ningbo and the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand, wrapped up successfully in Bangkok on Dec 12.
With an exhibition area of more than 10,000 square meters, the three-day event featured nearly 300 exhibitors from China and Thailand, presenting products ranging from household appliances to automotive accessories.
It also attracted over 8,000 visitors, setting a new record with a diverse audience, including local supermarkets, wholesalers, factories, e-commerce companies, and livestreaming companies.
According to Hu Wenzhu, director of Ningbo Qice Exhibition Service Co Ltd, the expo's organizer, only 27 companies from Ningbo participated in the expo via video link last year due to travel restrictions. This year, companies from around the country attended in addition to 105 Ningbo companies.
Ningbo World Crown Houseware Co Ltd, one of the exhibitors, got off to a good start on the first day of the expo. The company received an intended order worth $200,000.
"We brought various types of cup products to the expo. The cups are designed based on the drinking habits of people in the tropics. The customer liked it as soon as he saw it," said Lu Huanjiong, the company's general manager.
Qi Xiaoyun, chairman of the Thai-Zhejiang Trade Association, said that more companies from Zhejiang are encouraged to seek business opportunities in Thailand.
