Following the Qingming Festival, residents of Zhangxi Village in Ningbo are welcoming the annual bamboo shoot drying season.
On April 10, bathed in sunlight, villagers were busy transforming the freshly-harvested bamboo shoots into various culinary delights, including dried bamboo shoots and bamboo shoot threads. The tantalizing aroma of these spring delicacies wafted through the air.
During this time, locals' daily routines revolve around the harvesting, roasting, and drying of bamboo shoots.
With each passing year, Zhangxi village has witnessed a growing influx of tourists eager to savor the natural delights of the countryside. The popularity of dried bamboo shoots has surged, emerging as a significant source of economic sustenance for the village's residents.
