Ningbo Zhoushan Port sees cargo throughput surpass 1b tons Q1-3

Ningbo Zhoushan Port experienced a 3.4 percent year-on-year growth in cargo throughput, reaching nearly 1.05 billion metric tons in the first three quarters of this year, according to official statistics.
During the same period, the port handled approximately 29.52 million TEUs, marking an 8.3 percent expansion compared to the corresponding period last year.
Ningbo Zhoushan Port has been actively bolstering its global shipping network. To date, the port has established over 300 shipping routes, connecting it to more than 600 ports in over 200 countries and regions. With around 280 vessels arriving and departing daily, the port has solidified its position as a key player in supporting the country's "dual circulation" strategy.
Additionally, the port currently operates 26 sea-rail intermodal services, expanding its reach to 67 prefecture-level cities in 16 provinces nationwide and further reinforcing its pivotal role in the region.
