The Ningbo delegation, comprising over 2,000 companies and more than 7,000 suppliers, is showcasing their goods while pursuing lucrative business opportunities throughout the supply chain at the 7th China International Import Expo, which opened in Shanghai on Nov 5.

This year's CIIE included specialty products from Central and Eastern European countries, with a diverse range of new items, including Gdansk flour from Poland and handmade Serbian cashmere fabrics, making their debut in the Chinese market.

"Ningbo is positioning itself as the primary gateway through which CEE products can enter the Chinese market. During this year’s CIIE, we will be hosting a variety of activities in the CEE specialty product area, giving attendees the chance to experience these highly appealing products firsthand," said a representative from the Ningbo Imported Commodities Center.

One of Ningbo's manufacturing leaders, Consinee Group Co Ltd, established in 1999, has emerged as the country's top exporter of cashmere yarn. Participating in the CIIE for the fourth consecutive year, the company's expansive 500-square-meter exhibition space put it in close proximity to renowned international luxury brands like LVMH and Burberry.

"In 2005, in collaboration with the Fortune 500 company Lineapiu Group from Italy, we co-founded TopLine (Ningbo) Textile Co. Ltd, introducing the premium yarn brand TopLine and acquiring full ownership of the brand in 2011. Leveraging the CIIE platform, we aim to nurture a world-class Chinese luxury brand," stated a representative from Consinee.
