ASEAN official spotlights Ningbo's contributions

An ASEAN senior official emphasized the crucial role that Ningbo, Zhejiang province, has played in fostering China-ASEAN cooperation, citing opportunities in trade, culture, and port development during an exclusive interview with Ningbo Daily.
The 31st China-ASEAN Senior Officials' Consultation was recently held in Ningbo, reflecting the city's deepening ties with ASEAN. In 2024, ASEAN became Ningbo's third-largest trading partner, with bilateral trade reaching 187.69 billion yuan ($25.78 billion), a 20.7 percent year-on-year increase.
Malaysia's ASEAN Senior Officials' Meeting Leader, Dato' Sri Amran Mohamed Zin, discussed the potential for further collaboration between Malaysia and Ningbo, stressing the importance of strengthening people-to-people exchanges and leveraging Ningbo's strategic position in regional trade and logistics.
