Terminal 2 at Ningbo Lishe International Airport is scheduled to be put into use by the end of this year, local media reported.

A comprehensive drill was carried out on Dec 11, when the new terminal building made its first public appearance.

The building, shaped like a giant shell, began construction in 2015 and is 2.5 times larger than the currently operating Terminal 1.

Metro line 2 is the most convenient and economical way for passengers to get to the new terminal.

A number of cutting-edge technologies such as facial recognition will be applied in T2 so as to shorten the check-in process for passengers.
