Cured meat hung as Spring Festival approaches

With the Chinese New Year on the horizon, residents of Zhenhai district in Ningbo, Zhejiang province are busy hanging cured meat, a year-end tradition that has been passed on through generations.

A variety of fish, chicken, ducks, sausage, and pork can be seen strung up in the backyards of residential houses in rural areas to absorb wind and sunlight. Some homestays in Zhenhai villages are even selling the homemade meat.
