Closed management on Ningbo's Zhenhai district excluding part of its Jiaochuan sub-district was lifted from 3:00 pm on Dec 19 as the city downgraded its COVID-19 emergency response from the highest level to second highest level.

Public transportation in Zhenhai has resumed operation. Bus lines were gradually reopened from 3:00 pm on Dec 19, while metro lines resumed service a day later.

Public venues in the district including stadiums, libraries, churches and scenic spots will remain closed.

The organizing of meetings and activities with more than 50 people should be reported to local epidemic prevention and control authorities in advance. Wedding banquets are not allowed to be held in Zhenhai while funerals should be scaled down.

People from medium- and high-risk areas can return to the district if they test negative 48 hours prior to their return.

Close contacts of COVID-19 cases are required to undergo a two-week quarantine and a one-week home health observation.
