Dancers' dream come true at Beijing Paralympics

The Beijing 2022 Paralympic Winter Games provide a strong platform not only for para-athletes, but also for performers with disabilities.
Five dancers with hearing loss from Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province performed at the opening ceremony of the Beijing 2022 Paralympic Winter Games on March 4.
Wu Xiaolin, one of the dancers, told Ningbo Daily that they are all members of the Zhejiang Disabled People's Art Troupe and have been training in Beijing for the performance since early January.
"The performance requires a lot of physical strength, but the dancing movements should look soft and seamless, which is a difficult task for us," said Wu, "But we all cherish the opportunity to perform for the Beijing Winter Paralympics."
"We're now preparing for the closing ceremony. It's a challenge but we'll keep working hard at it," added Wu.
The dancers graduated from the Ningbo Special Education Center School. Liu Fang, Wu's former dancing teacher , told Ningbo Daily that Wu was a hardworking student and had great passion for dancing.
Liu was delighted that her student performed at the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Paralympics.
