Registration for 2023 Jiulong Lake Half Marathon opens

Registration for the 2023 Jiulong Lake Half Marathon, which will kick off in Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province on April 22, recently opened.

People can register for the race via the event's official website, jlh-mls.com, or through its official WeChat account, gh_75740da79525, before 5:00 pm on March 20. 

This year's event will consist of a half marathon, an 11.7-km race and a 3.7-km run with 4,000, 2,500 and 3,500 competition slots respectively.

Jiulong Lake, which is situated in the northwest part of Ningbo's Zhenhai district, is listed among the top 10 new scenic spots in the city.

Since its inception in 2015, the half marathon named after the lake has been designated as a silver label race by the Chinese Athletics Association and honored as a "characteristic race with the most beautiful track" by the association.

Half of the event's enrollment fees will be donated to students in Zhejiang who are unable to pay for their tuition and living expenses during the school period, according to the organizing committee.
