A talent station was established in Zhanqi town in Ningbo, Zhejiang province on May 4, offering accommodation and work-related services for young people from outside the city.

The facility is the first youth talent station to be established in a rural area in Yinzhou district. Young people who come to work and start businesses will enjoy free accommodation for up to seven days.

"It's the first stop for those who want to settle down in Yinzhou and join in local rural vitalization efforts. Thus, it's important for us to offer better housing for these young talents," said an official at the Talent Office of the CPC Yinzhou District Committee.

According to the official, the station is a two-story apartment with six suites and other rooms, such as an activity room and a reading room. Young people can apply for accommodation services through the online government service platform "Zheliban" or the Wechat account "Yinzhou Xin Qingnian".

"We used to book hotels when doing research in villages. Now we can live at the station," said Wu Rui, head of the lecturers' group of the Rural Vitalization Workstation of Tsinghua University.

Wu said that the group will further promote cooperation between the university and Zhanqi town.

In addition to the youth talent station, 1,400 apartments are currently under construction in Zhanqi and will be available for talent in 2025.
