After a three-year pause, the annual music festival Fete de la Musique, or World Music Day in English, was held in Ningbo, Zhejiang province on June 23.
The music festival was launched by the French Ministry of Culture in 1982 and made its China debut in Wuhan, Hubei province in 2007. After a hiatus of three years, the event has started up again and is scheduled to be held in six Chinese cities – Beijing, Shanghai, Wuhan, Chengdu and Shenyang.
During the music festival held at the Ningbo Cultural Plaza on June 23, the French post-punk band Structures put on an exciting show with the local band Don't Say Anything.
This year's event is also a warm-up activity for the 2023 Maritime Silk Road Culture and Tourism Expo, which is set to open on June 30 in Ningbo.
