A delegation of 15 Chinese entrepreneurs, including Wang Jianfeng, chairman of Joyson Group, a leading auto component maker based in Ningbo, attended the Sino-German entrepreneur roundtable held on June 20. Premier Li Qiang and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz also participated in the roundtable discussion.

Wang Jianfeng was the only representative of an auto parts company present at the conference. Joyson Group has long been known for its association with leading German automobile companies, supplying them with automotive electronics, safety equipement, and smart tools.

Joyson Electronics, the subsidiary of Joyson Group, has invested about 1.5 billion euros ($1.63 billion) in setting up four R&D centers and eight production bases across Germany, which have an estimated yearly revenue of 1.7 billion euros.

Germany is a vital trading partner of Ningbo, while the European Union, of which it is a part, is Ningbo's most significant trading partner. Official statistics reveal that from January to May, Ningbo's imports and exports to the EU amounted to 90.65 billion yuan ($12.63 billion).
