Auto parts makers seek opportunities at Ningbo fair
Around 1,000 auto parts manufacturers in China leveraged the 2023 China Ningbo International Auto Parts and Aftermarket Fair in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, to expand trade and markets.
The fair was held at the Ningbo International Conference and Exhibition Center from Aug 16 to 18, and attracted 1,182 exhibitors, including BYD and Li Auto.
"It's our first time attending the fair," said Huang Jingwei, manager at Yuhuan Yanyi Machinery Co Ltd. The company has been producing dust covers for car chassis for many years but has never attended an aftermarket fair.
Huang was satisfied with his company's debut at the fair. "We received eight business cards in just an hour, which is a good start for us."
"We are here for foreign customers," said Zhou Chunlei, sales manager at Anhui Tianyu Auto Parts Manufacturing Co Ltd, which specializes in suspension parts.
Zhou said that the company's products have been sold through more than 1,000 distribution channels in the country. It plans to expand to foreign markets.
The fair also offers a large platform for new energy auto parts companies to showcase their products. Ningbo Yiwei New Energy Technology Co Ltd is among them.
"If you bought a L9 displayed at the Li Auto booth opposite us, you'll need our battery charging facility. Our products are sold at 4S stores across the country, as well as on many cross-border e-commerce platforms, such as Amazon and Alibaba," said the company's manager, surnamed Gao.
