Top 100 Ningbo enterprise list unveiled

Ningbo in East China's Zhejiang province released the 2023 list of the top 100 enterprises on Aug 29, as reported by local sources.

Considered a key indicator of the city's economic development, this annual list is jointly compiled by the Ningbo Federation of Enterprises, Ningbo Entrepreneurs Association, and Ningbo Industrial Economy Federation.

The rankings are determined based on the business revenue of local companies in 2022, with the threshold for inclusion increasing by 23.7 percent year-on-year to about 4.1 billion yuan ($562.21 million) this year.

The top five companies on the list are Youngor Group, Sinopec Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Co Ltd, Ningbo Jintian Investment Holding Co Ltd, Zhejiang Geely Automobile Co Ltd, and China-Base Ningbo Group Co Ltd.

The combined business revenue of the top 100 enterprises reached a total of 2.33 trillion yuan in 2022, marking the second consecutive year it has surpassed 2 trillion yuan and representing a 14.4 percent year-on-year increase.

Out of the top 100, five companies achieved a revenue exceeding 100 billion yuan, the same as the previous year.

In addition to the main list of top 100 companies, the city also revealed the lists of top 100 manufacturing companies, top 100 service companies, and top 100 competitive companies simultaneously, showcasing the diversity and strength of Ningbo's business landscape.
