Ningbo athletes excel at Asian Para Games with 14 gold medals

Ningbo athletes showcased their remarkable skills at the 4th Asian Para Games, which concluded in Hangzhou on Oct 28, racking up an impressive tally of 14 gold, six silver, and five bronze medals.
Dominating the swimming events, Xu Jialing and Chen Yi replicated their previous successes, with Xu securing a stunning haul of six gold medals and Chen clinching four gold and two silver medals. Meanwhile, Yao Cuan added to the swimming glory with a well-deserved gold medal. Hua Dongdong showcased his exceptional talent, bagging one gold, one silver, and one bronze medal, while Wang Jie contributed to the team's success with an additional one gold and three silver medals.
The triumph didn't end at the swimming pool for the Ningbo athletes. In archery, newcomer Zhang Lu made a stunning debut, securing a gold medal in the women's compound bow team event.
The Chinese men's sitting volleyball team, consisting of Yu Qianyuan, Zhang Zhongmin, and Zhao Peiwen from Ningbo, soared to victory on Oct 27, defeating their South Korean counterparts to bring home a well-deserved bronze medal. Adding to the city's achievements, Son Churen earned a bronze medal in the TT8 level men's singles table tennis event.
