Ningbo govt delegation visits France, Austria
A delegation led by Peng Jiaxue, Party chief of Ningbo, Zhejiang province, embarked on a visit to France and Austria on Oct 20, at the invitation of Rouen in France and Wiener Neustadt in Austria.
During their stay, the Ningbo delegation will engage with officials from governmental bodies, prominent enterprises, and social organizations in both nations. They are scheduled to participate in key events such as the Ningbo-Rouen Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange Meeting, the inauguration of the Maritime Silk Road-themed exhibition, the ceremonial launch of the Ningbo Friendship Garden in Rouen, and the opening of a Ningbo city photo exhibition. These activities aim to enhance exchanges and collaboration in areas including science, technology, manufacturing, economy, trade, and culture, with the goal of achieving mutually beneficial and progressive development across a broad range of sectors.
Meanwhile, the delegation will visit local enterprises and meet with Zhejiang compatriots residing in the region. This year holds special significance as it marks the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and France. Over the years, Ningbo has nurtured a longstanding relationship with Rouen in France and Wiener Neustadt in Austria, considering them friendly cities with deep-rooted bonds.
