Frozen icefall in Fenghua becomes tourist hotspot

The Sanze Waterfall in Licun village, Xikou town, Ningbo's Fenghua district became frozen after a cold front swept through the city.

Images of the rarely seen "icefall" quickly went viral on WeChat and drew numerous visitors to the village.

Located in the northeastern part of Xikou town, the remote Licun village is surrounded by mountains. Traveling from the village to the foot of the waterfall requires 30 minutes, according to a local resident.

Another cold wave is expected to hit the city in the coming days, and this might create even more  spectacular ice and snow views, according to the local meteorological centre.
