Afforestation rate stands at 48% in Ningbo

The forest coverage rate of Ningbo in East China's Zheijiang province now stands at 48 percent, said local authorities on March 12, which was also China's Tree-Planting Day.

The city's forests spans 6.65 million mu (443,333 hectares), with the forest stock totaling 22.57 million cubic meters.

In 2010, Ningbo was honored as a national forest city. In 2018, all county-level cities and counties administered by the city were listed among Zhejiang provincial forest cities.
