In pics: Market propels nighttime economy in Ninghai

A night market was recently erected in the West Gate Tower in Ningbo's Ninghai county, attracting numerous visitors.

The event, slated to run until Oct 18, is part of the county's annual tourism festival named after Xu Xiake, a famous Chinese explorer during the 17th century who was regarded as the Chinese Marco Polo. It also comes as part of local authorities' broad push to spur nighttime consumption.
