A new village is under construction in Kuqa, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region as part of program in which Ningbo supports Xinjiang to revitalize its rural areas.

The village, named Ningbo-Kuqa Revitalization Village, is being built in Wuqia town in Kuqa. The development of the village will take a page from Tengtou village, a village in Ningbo's Fenghua district, which has been developing green industries since the 1960s and has become a model village for common prosperity.

To date, the village's infrastructure construction has been completed, including a public square, tourism service areas, landscape architecture, and pavilions. A variety of projects, spanning logistics, catering, minsus (Chinese-style bed-and-breakfasts), and a parent-child park, will be launched to energize the local rural economy.

Ningbo Tengtou Village Revitalization College set up a branch campus in Xinjiang last October, which serves as a platform to promote Ningbo's experiences in rural revitalization, train talents, and provide ideas on local rural development.

To improve agricultural industrialization and modernization in the area, Ningbo plans to help establish a modern agriculture science and technology innovation center in Kuqa, including eight labs, as well as three workstations. Enterprises will be involved in these efforts as well.
