Fishermen of Changjie town, Ningbo's Ninghai county, have been busy harvesting seafood including crabs and clams to meet the spike in market demand created by the approaching Spring Festival.

The exposure of seafood after the water is pumped out of the ponds has attracted about 1,000 egrets to forage. The egret is a species under second–class State protection in China.

The scene is not a rarity in Changjie town due the well-protected ecological environment.
