New Year crowds seen back on streets in Ningbo

Restaurants, hotels and shopping malls across Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province were packed during the New Year holiday following China's optimization of COVID-19 control measures.

The sales of 50 monitored businesses, including shopping malls, supermarkets, car dealerships, hotels, and restaurants, in Ningbo totaled 321 million yuan ($45.86 million) from Dec 31, 2021 to Jan 1, 2022 - the first two days of the three-day break.
