The reconstruction of Wenchang Pavilion in Beilun district, Ningbo was recently completed, and the newly restored building has now opened to the public.

Wenchang Pavilion was built atop Wanjing Mountain on Chaiqiao Street in 1793 and is a great place to admire the distant scenery.

The reconstruction of the pavilion started in 2021 and was recently completed. The newly restored Wenchang Pavilion was built similarly to the original, based on the building remains and memories of local seniors.

"With the arrival of spring, the old-fashioned Wenchang Pavilion has become popular among hanfu lovers," said Zhang Yang, official of the Chaiqiao Cultural Station.

To attract more visitors, the Chaiqiao Cultural Station and Wanjingshan Community launched an event on Chinese tea culture at Wenchang Pavilion on Feb 23.

"It's the first cultural event that we've held at the pavilion and more activities of various themes will be held in the future," Zhang added.
