Expat links mise porcelain with pizza

Vitali from Moldova has been running a pizza shop in Cixi city, Ningbo for years. He has explored the city's historical porcelain culture and discovered some similarities between the traditional Chinese art and pizza.

Cixi's Yue Kiln - Shanglin Lake was a celadon production hub that operated for a millennium. In 2016, mise (literally, "secret-color") celadon was unearthed at the site. Mise ware represents the finest of Yue celadon and has a grayish- green color and tactility that make it similar to jade.
