Ningbo launches short video competition to welcome Games

Ningbo, a co-host of the Hangzhou Asian Games in Zhejiang province, launched a short video competition on Aug 24 in celebration of the 30-day countdown to the Games.

About the event:

People are encouraged to share a sports-themed short video in any form with the hashtag "全民上场阿拉开动 (translated as 'It's Your Turn')" on Douyin, a short video sharing platform.

Requirements: 

The video should be 15 to 60 seconds long and be an original record of people's daily sports activities.

Submission date: Aug 24 to Sept 18

Selection rules:

An expert jury will select 11 winners – one most popular work and 10 most creative works, based on their innovativeness and the number of likes they receive. Winners will be announced online on Sept 20.

Awards:

The most popular winner will be awarded 4,000 yuan ($549), while the most creative winners will receive 500 yuan each. They will also get tickets to a beach volleyball match of the Games.
