The Chinese team made history at the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games on Sept 26, setting a new Asian record in the men's 4x100m medley relay.

Comprised of Xu Jiayu, Qin Haiyang, Wang Changhao, and Pan Zhanle, the team achieved an impressive time of 3 minutes and 27.01 seconds, securing them the gold medal. Remarkably, their time also placed them second in the all-time world rankings, just 0.23 seconds shy of the world record set by the United States.

Wang Shun, a swimming sensation from Ningbo in Zhejiang province, played a part in the medal-winning relay. He and his teammates Yan Zibei, Sun Jiajun, and Wang Haoyu participated in the preliminaries for the same event, giving them the chance to compete in the historic race.

Additionally, Wang competed in the men's 400m individual medley, following his gold medal win in the 200m IM event on Sept 24. His strong performance put him in third place, with a time of 4 mins and 15.12 seconds.
