Baoguo Temple, nestled in Ningbo's Jiangbei district, has recently emerged as a sought-after tourist spot, as its wintersweet flowers have come into full bloom.

Set against the backdrop of the temple's brown tiles and crimson walls, the yellow flowers have woven a mesmerizing spell, attracting a significant influx of visitors eager to capture the breathtaking scenery.

The blooming wintersweet has only added to the allure of the temple grounds, despite the persistent cold and rainy weather in Ningbo. As visitors wander through the ancient architecture, they are greeted by the delicate fragrance of the flowers and serenaded by the soothing sound of raindrops gently tapping the ground.

Wintersweet, a native Chinese flower renowned for its potent scent, typically blooms in late winter or early spring, preceding the emergence of new leaves. In China, it is often revered as one of the "three friends of winter", alongside pine and bamboo.
