The Bingyou Tea Garden in Sangzhou town in Ningbo's Ninghai county has become the site of much activity, as the much-anticipated spring tea harvest began on March 7.

Ninghai is renowned as the primary tea-producing region in Ningbo, boasting a sprawling tea plantation that spans over 54,000 mu (3,600 hectares), with early varieties covering approximately 15,000 mu.

This year's tea harvest has faced a delay of over two weeks due to adverse weather conditions. At present, the picking of early-variety tea trees, including Wuniuzao and Wanghai Tea No 1, has commenced in limited quantities.
