In recent days, numerous flocks of egrets have descended upon Dongqian Lake in Ningbo, Zhejiang province.
Each morning and evening, these elegant birds can be spotted in the wetlands, perched along the lakeside. Some forage for food, some frolic about aimlessly, while others gracefully glide through the sky, emanating a sense of joy and freedom.
Complemented by villages, fishing boats, green hills, and pristine waters, the egrets bask in the soft light of dawn and dusk, painting a picturesque scene of harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature.
Egrets hold a revered status as barometers of air and water quality, affectionately known as "environmental ambassadors". Their abundant presence around Dongqian Lake serves as a testament to the improving ecological health in the region.
