Kordyk's journey: From dream to deck

Meet Eduard Kordyk, a 25-year-old Ukrainian turning childhood dreams of becoming a sailor into reality at sea, as told to the reporter from Beilun Media Center at the Ningbo-Zhoushan Port.

Kordyk has dreamed of becoming a sailor since he was a child. Now, he is living that dream on the open ocean. He still vividly recalls his first storm, a moment filled with both awe and respect for the power of the sea.

Life on board is demanding, but he stays active and strong by boxing and working out on the ship. This balance between the challenges of seamanship and maintaining his fitness keeps him focused and ready for whatever the sea throws his way.
